By placing an order with Taylor Beef Company of Montana, you agree to these Terms of Service and acknowledge that you have read and understood all policies related to ordering, payment, processing, and delivery. These terms constitute a binding agreement between you and Taylor Beef Company.
Taylor Beef Company offers three beef options at seven dollars per pound dressed hanging weight. Whole beef averages 600 pounds dressed hanging weight, half beef averages 300 pounds, and quarter beef averages 140-150 pounds. All pricing includes animal procurement, processing, aging, cutting, and packaging.
Product weights are estimates based on industry standards. Final weights and costs will be determined at processing and communicated before final payment is required. All beef is Red or Black Angus or cross Charolais when available, grass-fed with local hay supplementation during drought or poor grazing conditions.
All orders require a non-refundable reservation installment to secure your place in the processing queue. Whole beef requires $2,000, half beef requires $1,000, and quarter beef requires $500 as reservation installments. These installments are applied toward your final total cost.
Upon placing your reservation, you will submit cutting preferences through our online form. Our contracted processors may contact you directly to clarify cutting instructions or offer suggestions. Processing timeline varies from same day to several weeks depending on processor schedules and animal availability.
Final payment for the remaining balance is required before pickup or shipping. We accept cash, check, or credit card payments. Returned checks incur a fifty-dollar processing fee.
Financing is available for qualified customers with prior approval. Customers may request payment plans for the remaining balance after reservation installment. Approved financing carries ten percent monthly interest on outstanding balances with maximum terms of four months for whole beef, three months for half and quarter beef. All financing agreements require signed documentation.
Reservation installments are non-refundable once processing begins. Cancellations requested within 48 hours of order placement may receive full refund minus a fifty-dollar administrative fee. Cancellations requested between 48 hours and seven days may receive refund of fifty percent of reservation installment. No refunds are available for cancellations requested after seven days or once animal selection has begun.
Once processing has commenced, all transactions become final with no returns or refunds available. This policy protects both customers and Gary Taylor Beef Company from losses associated with custom processing.
All beef processing occurs at licensed and inspected facilities meeting state and federal requirements. Each animal undergoes a standard 24-hour destress period before processing to ensure humane treatment and optimal meat quality. Beef is aged according to industry standards before custom cutting according to your specifications.
Taylor Beef Company of Montana maintains quality control throughout the selection and processing phases. However, natural variations in animals mean exact weights, marbling, and yields may vary from estimates. We guarantee all beef meets safety and quality standards but cannot guarantee specific characteristics beyond our standard selection criteria.
Customers must provide accurate and current contact information throughout the order process. Changes to contact information, delivery addresses, or cutting preferences must be communicated immediately. Customers are responsible for ensuring adequate freezer space for their order size.
Final payment must be received before pickup or shipping arrangements. Customers selecting pickup are responsible for transportation and proper handling from our facility. Those choosing delivery or shipping must be available to receive their order or arrange for appropriate receipt.
Taylor Beef Company of Montana's liability is limited to the purchase price of your specific order. We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including but not limited to lost profits, spoilage due to power outages, or costs associated with alternative protein sources.
Our responsibility ends upon delivery or pickup completion. Customers assume responsibility for proper storage and handling thereafter. We make no warranties beyond standard food safety and processing quality guarantees.
Disputes will be resolved through good faith negotiation. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be handled through binding arbitration in Montana under Montana state law. Legal actions must be commenced within one year of the dispute arising.
Taylor Beef Company reserves the right to modify these terms with reasonable notice to customers. Significant changes will be communicated via email or website notice. Continued use of our services after modifications constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
